Larry Tran

Larry Tran is an attorney at Rugged Law (Oregon State Bar Provisional License No. SP014480). He brings more than 20 years of real-world experience at the intersection of litigation and the insurance/claims process, experience that translates into disciplined strategy, strong negotiation posture, and evidence-driven advocacy.

Before practicing law, Larry worked on the insurance side as a Senior Auto Claims Adjuster and Senior Subrogation Adjuster, investigating accidents, determining liability, evaluating vehicle damage and bodily injury exposure, and negotiating resolutions.

He also worked as a lead estimator in the collision-repair industry, negotiating repair costs directly with insurance carriers. That “inside view” is especially valuable as Rugged Law supports family law representation by sharpening the same core skills that drive outcomes: organizing proof, analyzing financial and factual disputes, and negotiating from leverage instead of emotion. Larry has been involved in matters resulting in multi-million-dollar outcomes, including high seven-figure settlements. He is also a seasoned litigation drafter and case-builder.

As a Senior Litigation Law Clerk/Paralegal, he has drafted and filed pleadings, managed discovery, drafted motions and oppositions, performed legal research, and supported trial preparation. He is the founder of Your Law Clerks, LLC, providing litigation support, investigations, and on-demand legal drafting services to law firms. Larry earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is fluent in Vietnamese.
